My name is Jason Micallef, and I am the Co-Founder of Nephilim Creations as well as the Creative Director and Visionary, designing the world in regards to it's story and characters.

In my professional life I have a decade long experience in the world of IT, having grown from an IT administrator, to Network Operations Centre Engineer to now a DevOps Engineer. I have always been hands on in my career, having stemmed from a general interest in getting my hand dirty with PC building in my teens and problem solving in the physical and digital world. 

My journey in LARPs began with cosplay at local conventions, where my costumes consistently received positive feedback. Encouraged to do more, I pushed myself to craft costumes of increasing quality. In 2018, I discovered LARPing through Witcher School in Poland, an experience that profoundly impacted me. I immersed myself in the rich storylines, deep characters, and vivid worlds, forming friendships that feel will last a lifetime, or multiple ones in this case. I attended six editions of Witcher School before its conclusion and also experienced Høst Viking LARP.

Having seen first hand why these games are so popular abroad, and the stories I told my friends and acquaintances on my return clearly showed that there exists a want for these games locally (proven by the fact that I have dragged over 10 of my friends to join me on these adventures). In my own opinion I believe that no other medium of story telling can match the immersion, depth or engagement that LARPs offer. I always had a creative mindset, having enjoyed writing stories and interest in how fictional characters work and now applying that mindset into original character creation and world design.

Now, I’m on a mission to bring these experiences to Malta, where nothing like it currently exists and has several unique possibilities for implementing captivating stories inspired by real world local events. Join me as we embark on a quest to create unforgettable stories and immersive adventures right here on the island!

Myron here! I'm proud to be the Co-Founder as well as Legal and Artistic Director for Nephilim Creations, bringing the depth and level of immersion that players deserve at our events.

As a writer, actor, and voice-actor with a collective 15 years of experience, I’ve spent most of my life diving into stories from every possible angle. Whether through the written word, the stage, or behind the camera and microphone, I’m driven by a deep passion for storytelling in all its forms.

I've also also been steadily running a variety of role-playing games, both casually and professionally, for close to a decade, brimming with a signature mix of comedy, horror, and Shakespearean drama. These experiences have recently paved the way to the Role-Player's Workshop series which explores different elements of role-play such as character embodiment, writing, design, group dynamics and improvisation.

Alongside my artistic pursuits, I am a law graduate with a specialisation in international and commercial law. While the two concepts do seem worlds apart, it's been a blessing in letting me provide peace of mind by ensuring clarity and fairness, as well as dealing with agreements and conflict resolution whenever they might come up. It's also helped me win plenty of arguments when it comes to rules disputes, but we try to stay humble.

I love this type of role-play because of how easily it can be used to blend different facets of creativity, collaboration, and self-expression. I believe Malta is a historically rich and beautifully layered location that deserves a fresh kind of exploration, and I'm thrilled to bring new and unforgettable experiences to its shores!
